College teacher dies of dengue in Narsingdi

A college teacher named Mosaddek Hasan (26) has died of dengue fever while undergoing treatment in Narsingdi. He died at around 3 pm on Friday (October 16) while undergoing treatment at the Narsingdi 100-bed District Hospital.
Mosaddek Hasan was a lecturer in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Narsingdi Model College. He was a resident of Khilpara area of Danga Union in Palash Upazila. He was undergoing treatment at the district hospital for three days before his death.
Narsingdi Civil Surgeon Dr. Bulbul Kabir said that according to government figures, 2,096 people have been hospitalized in Narsingdi for dengue this year. One of them died while undergoing treatment on Friday. This is the first death in the district due to dengue while hospitalized.
On the other hand, Hafez Shamsul Islam, director of a private madrasa named Tartilul Quran Academy, died of dengue fever on Monday, October 12. He had been receiving treatment at home for dengue fever since October 9. His son Azharul Islam Zahid confirmed his death.
