Press briefing on Land Fair to raise public awareness in Gopalganj

A press briefing was held in Gopalganj in preparation for the upcoming Land Fair-2025. The event was organized by the district administration on Thursday morning at the conference room of the District Administrator’s office.
The briefing, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman, was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) S.M. Tarek Sultan, Sadar UNO M. Rakibul Hasan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Babli Shabnam, and journalists from the district’s print and electronic media.
In his speech, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the Land Fair will be held simultaneously in all five upazilas of Gopalganj from May 25 to May 27. Through this fair, the public will be informed about various digital services, including e-namjari, online land development tax, and obtaining khatian and maps.
He further emphasized that strict measures will be taken to make land offices free of intermediaries, and, if necessary, the names and photos of such intermediaries will be made public.
He expressed hope that the Land Fair will play an effective role in simplifying land services and increasing public awareness.
