A preparatory meeting was held in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district ahead of the traditional Rash Mela celebration. The meeting took place on Friday afternoon at the premises of the Sri Sri Madan Mohan Sebashram, located on the bank of the Andharmanik River in Kalapara municipality.
The meeting was presided over by Shanti Ranjan Mitra, Vice President of the Youth Committee of the Ashram. Among others, Ravindra Nath Das, Joint General Secretary of the main committee, Sukh Ranjan Talukder, Dilip Kumar Hawlader, President of the Rash Mela Celebration Committee, Bikash Das, General Secretary, Sujan Kanti Shikder, Treasurer, and Debashish Shikder Kala spoke at the event.
Speakers said that, like every year, the traditional Sri Krishna Rash Festival and Mela will be celebrated in the courtyard of the Sri Sri Madan Mohan Sebashram. This year, the festival will begin on November 4 and continue for five days.
Members of the main and youth committees of the Sebashram, along with members of the Rash Mela Celebration Committee, attended the meeting.
