Prayers for forgiveness of Shaheed Zia, recovery of Begum Zia in Rupsa

A meeting was organized by the general women of Naihati Union of Rupsa Upazila to pray for the forgiveness of the soul of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and the early recovery of former Prime Minister Begum Zia and to raise awareness of uprooted women at the house of Mizanur Rahman in Naihati village on Wednesday afternoon.
In her speech as the chief guest, women's activist and Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal leader Nargis Akhter said that after a long period of oppression and torture, today we have regained the right to speak due to the loss of thousands of innocent lives and the disability of the student population.
The number of women voters in this country is high, therefore, if women make a mistake in making a worthy candidate win, the entire nation will again be enslaved by fascism. For this reason, the women's community should become aware and strengthen the hand of Azizul Bari Helal, the Central Information Secretary, nominated by the nationalist party BNP with the symbol of rice husk, in Khulna 4 constituency.
Local women's party leaders Amena Begum Asma and Monira Begum were present at the time.
