Popular Life Insurance approves 20 pc cash dividend at 26th AGM

Popular Life Insurance PLC approved a 20 percent cash dividend for the year 2025 during its 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held virtually on Tuesday.
The meeting was held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, under the chairmanship of the company's Board of Directors Chairman Mohammad Zohirul Islam Chowdhury. Popular Life Insurance Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer B M Yousuf Ali attended the event alongside Company Secretary Mostafa Helal Kabir, who conducted the proceedings.
The virtual AGM was attended by Company Vice Chairman Kabir Ahmed, former Chairman Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury, former Chairman and Director Md. Motahar Hossain, Sponsor Director Shahjada Mahmud Chowdhury, and Directors Mohammad Amir Hossain Chowdhury, Begum Noor Jahan Ahmed, and Begum Farjana Jahan Ahmed. Independent Directors Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan, Mohammad Atiq Akbar, Mostafa Jamal Hossain FCA, and Dr. Monalisa Monowar were also present.
Following shareholder deliberation, the assembly unanimously approved the proposed 20 percent cash dividend for the 2025 financial period.
