Policeman commits suicide by wrapping towel around his neck in Satkhira

A policeman named Anupam Kumar Ghosh (26) committed suicide by wrapping a towel around his neck in Satkhira. The incident took place at his rented house in Rasulpur area of Satkhira city around 3 am on Sunday (February 16).
The suicide policeman Anupam Kumar Ghosh (26) is the son of Ashish Kumar Ghosh of Durgapur Kharamkhali village of Chitalmari police station in Bagerhat district. His constable number is 1122.
According to police sources, policeman Anupam Ghosh was working in Satkhira police line. He used to live on rent with his wife in a man's house in Rasulpur area. After duty, he returned home around 2 am on Sunday morning.
Later, around 3 am, he committed suicide by wrapping a towel around his neck with the ceiling fan of the room. He was rescued and taken to Satkhira Sadar Hospital around 3:30 in the morning, where the doctor on duty in the emergency department declared him dead.
It is believed that he committed suicide by hanging himself due to a family dispute.
Dr. Maruf Hasan, who is on duty in the emergency department of Sadar Hospital, said that he died before being brought to the hospital.
Satkhira Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shaminul Islam confirmed the truth of the incident and said, "We went to the spot early in the morning after getting the news. It is believed that he committed suicide by hanging himself due to a family dispute.
