"Bangladesh is a land of communal harmony. For generations, people of this country, regardless of religion or caste, have been celebrating various religious festivals through mutual cordiality and brotherhood. Durga Puja is a unique reflection of our harmony and tradition.

It is the expectation of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman that everyone celebrates Puja seamlessly in a joyful and peaceful environment," said Khandaker Abu Ashfaq, MP for Dhaka-1 (Dohar-Nabanganj) constituency and President of Dhaka District BNP.

He made these remarks on Wednesday afternoon during a visit to the Meghula Thakurbali Durga Temple.

During the visit, MP Khandaker Abu Ashfaq exchanged greetings with local Hindu leaders and devotees, extended his best wishes for Sharadiya Durga Puja, and handed over financial donations to each Durga temple.

Following this, MP Abu Ashfaq visited a total of 44 Durga temples across the area, including Bethua Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Goraban Dhali Bari Durga Temple, Muksudpur Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Narisha Durga Temple, Meghula Daspara Durga Temple, Malikanda Durga Temple, Lotakhola Biler Par Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Raipara Mistripara Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Raipara Goswami Bari Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Palganj Akalbodhana Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Ikrashi Palpara Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Auliyabad Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Auliyabad Panchayat Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Kartikpur Madhyapara Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Kartikpur Purbapara Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Sreekrishnapur Shibcharan Sannyasi Angina, Sreekrishnapur Sarbajanin Durga Temple, Kartikpur Sarbajanin Durga Temple, and Dakshin Baraha Sarbajanin Durga Temple, distributing financial assistance at each location.

Also present during the visits were Upazila BNP Vice President Monirul Alam Jibon Bepari, Vice President A. Hannan Bepari, Organizing Secretaries Achir Uddin Bachchu Khan and Sentu Bhuiyan, Dhaka District Juba Dal Vice President Abul Hashem Bepari, Upazila Matsya Dal President Ramzan Hossain Molla, Upazila Krishak Dal President Kazi Rubel, alongside other local BNP leaders.
