Police reconciliation meet held in Baniachang

A harmony meeting was held in Baniachang police station to protect religious harmony on Tuesday .
A meeting with religious leaders of Muslim and traditional religions was held on Tuesday (October 19) noon in the police station office room under the chairmanship of Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Emran Hossain.
Habiganj Additional Superintendent of Police (Baniachang Circle) Palash Ranjan Dey was present as the chief guest.
OC (Investigation) Projit Kumar Das, Maulana Abdul Bachit Azad, Maulana Shaikh Makhlishur Rahman, Principal Abdul Hossain Khan, Kazi Mufti Ataur Rahman, Maulana Abdul Jalil Yousufi, Maulana Mashiur Rahman, President of Baniachang Puja Celebration Committee Badal were present. Madab Dev, President of Hindu Buddhist and Christian Unity Council Bipul Bhushan Roy,
Senior leaders of both religions, including General Secretary Kajal Chatterjee. The present leaders assured the administration that the harmony and harmony between all religions, castes, creeds and opinions of Baniachang was in the past, is present and will be in the future and urged all not to listen to any kind of rumors.
And the religious leaders thanked the police administration for holding a meeting with the leaders of both the religions in a short time.
