PM Tarique Rahman interacts with plantation, family card beneficiaries in Barishal

The Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, participated as the chief guest in a tree plantation program on both sides of the newly excavated Sarikal-Batajor canal in Goura Nadi, Barishal. At the same time, the Prime Minister exchanged views with the beneficiaries of the Family Card in the nearby Batajor area.
As part of his first official visit to Barisjal, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived at Batajor Union in Gournadi Upazila at 9:50 am today, Monday (July 13, 2026). Earlier, he left for Barisal by road from his residence on Gulshan Avenue in the capital at 5:55 am.
He began his visit to Barisal today with a tree plantation program in the Batajor area of the Gournadi River and an exchange of views with family card beneficiaries.
Later, he will participate in another tree plantation program in the Sagardi area adjacent to the Trish Godown slaughterhouse in Barisal district headquarters.
Apart from this, party chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will attend the organizational meeting of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized at the Barisal District Shilpakala Academy in the afternoon.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to return to Dhaka this evening after the day-long visit.▫️
