Plantation programme held by Army Zone at Longadu Govt Model College ground

A tree plantation programme was held at the Longadu Government Model College grounds on Sunday morning at the initiative of the Longadu Zone of the Bangladesh Army.
Lieutenant Colonel Mir Morshed, SPP, PSC, Zone Commander of Longadu Zone, was present as the chief guest at the event and handed over tree saplings to the students.
Under this program, about 9,000 fruit, forest and medicinal tree saplings were distributed among the students of various local educational institutions. Representatives of the local administration, public representatives, teachers-students, guardians, and dignitaries were present at the programme.
At this time, Lt. Colonel Mir Morshed, Zone Commander of Longadu Zone, said that tree plantation is an effective and long-term initiative to address the challenges of climate change.
