The written examination for recruiting data collectors, supervisors, and IT supervisors to run data collection activities under the Family Card program has been held in Bauphal upazila of Patuakhali. The examination took place on Saturday at around 10:30 AM for data collectors at Bauphal Government Model Secondary School and for supervisors and IT supervisors at the Upazila Parishad hall room.

For the municipality and 15 unions, a total of 1,160 candidates applied for the positions of data collector, supervisor, and IT supervisor, out of which approximately 900 candidates participated in the written exam.

It is learnt that initiatives have been taken to recruit data collectors on a temporary basis to collect and verify information regarding beneficiaries of family cards across various upazila unions, prompting interested candidates to take part in the test.

Upazila Social Services Officer Mushfiqur Rahman stated that successful candidates from the exam will be finalized through subsequent necessary verification stages. Recruited personnel will go door-to-door at the field level to collect information from beneficiaries.

UNO.Saleh Ahmed stated that the family card is an important social safety net initiative of the government. Through this program, accurate data preservation for genuine beneficiaries will be ensured, and in the future, family card services can be operated more transparently and efficiently. Truly low-income families will get the opportunity to collect daily necessities at subsidized rates.

A list of genuine beneficiaries will be formulated through accurate data collection and verification so that no eligible person is left out and no ineligible person is included. He called upon everyone in the upazila to cooperate with accurate information in this program.
