
Physical Education in the Educational Field

Physical education is not only physical but also an integral part of general education Physical education is not only physical but also an integral part of general education. Physical education should be ensured in educational institutions to achieve educational success or desired goals. Physical education sheds light on the ways in which people acquire mental and social qualities. Plays a vital role in developing a complete student.
We know that the relationship between body and mind is very close. At present, physical education is generally incomplete, incomplete(A sound mind lives in a sound body). This ancient adage has been proven true throughout the ages. Physical education can be a rewarding career option for individuals interested in learning healthy habits, good nutrition and physical activity to stay healthy.
Nowadays physical education means physical development, mental development and acquisition of social qualities. When other countries of the world are busy with new researches in physical education, are advancing the country's physical education and sports with new action plans, playing a leading role in the development of the country, we are on the opposite path. We only include physical education in our education curriculum. Which will create obstacles in building the next smart Bangladesh. We want smart people, smart education system for smart Bangladesh. Without modernization of physical education and regular inclusion of subjects in the education curriculum, it is questionable how successful the formation of Smart Bangladesh will be.
It is clearly evident from the opinion of physical educationists that the objective of physical education, like general education, is to achieve maximum and balanced development of the personality and systematically helps in achieving sportsmanship.
A student can acquire many qualities through physical education and sports. For example, being able to play well by following the rules of the sport. Achieving specific goals through hard work. Increase performance in nerve and muscle coordination. To develop a balanced body and mind. Achieving physical fitness through good health. Gain tolerance and confidence. A physical education teacher's responsibility is to impart knowledge about physical activity to the students within a specified period of time. In the classroom, they teach students essential skills and safety measures that are important on the playground or field. Physical education teachers motivate their students and help them in every way to be physically active and healthy.
Development of present thinking. Enlightenment about ethics. To be motivated by service and self-sacrifice. Develop friendly and competitive spirit among different groups. Enhancing loyalty and ethics. Instilling respect for law through sports. A playful and friendly attitude develops. Developing an attitude of respect towards competitors. Aids in self-control and emotional regulation. Acquiring leadership skills and acquiring social skills. Knowing how to spend leisure time with entertainment. To behave cordially with all and participate in service activities. Above all, patriotism is awakened among them.
Students can receive the best physical education at school age. The message about the importance of physical activity in society needs to be properly conveyed. Once this is known it can be applied to lifelong health. Physical education is important. Because it reduces the tendency to get sick, feel bad, go to the doctor and go to the hospital. Physical activity preserves health and keeps all diseases at bay for a long time. As a result, the medicine has to be taken less. Creates a positive outlook in the mind. It will help train the 21st century citizen as a team. This allows cross-cutting themes to develop.
Together these address many areas of the curriculum. Working on and improving skills is now commonplace. It teaches values. It teaches that acceptance of others is essential. It helps to recognize the efforts of everyone within a team. It is much easier than other challenging subjects and includes fun activities like sports. Students who are involved in sports take this matter seriously and undergo training to become professionally competent. Physical education creates skills that develop throughout a person's life.
It develops intelligence by enabling one to know what to do, how to do it, when to do it, and with whom to do it, depending on environmental conditions. Physical education is about physical strength and knowledge. Students involved in this subject can study various physical techniques. These techniques can be used during sports and are helpful in daily life routines.
Physical education has been included in the curriculum at the primary and secondary levels for several years, but the subject has not been included at the higher secondary and college levels. As per the existing manpower structure, there is one post of physical education teacher in each government and private college. Almost all colleges have one teacher working as 'Physical Education Teacher' but they have no physical education or any such subject or textbook to teach. According to a statistic, there is currently one physical education teacher working in about 4000 public and private colleges in the country. There is no related subject or book to teach them.
Physical education is important because it helps train the 21st century citizen as a team. This allows for the development of cross-cutting themes. These are jointly addressing many areas of the curriculum. Working on and improving skills is now commonplace. It teaches values.
It teaches that acceptance of others is essential. In almost all countries including India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Japan, America, physical education is included in the curriculum at the college level. Along with physical development of students, mental development is also essential. For both these types of development, students need physical education along with sports.
It is the need of the hour to introduce physical education at the college level for the overall development of students. The main point of physical education is balanced development of organs, mental development, acquisition of social qualities and entertainment through sports for the overall improvement of body and mind. Physical education is very important to make the students of today the citizens of tomorrow. Therefore, it is imperative to take effective measures to include the subject of physical education at the college level.
