One arrested with one kg of marijuana in DB raid in Rangamati

DB police have arrested a youth with one kilogram of marijuana from Sapchhari area under Rangamati Sadar Upazila.
Rangamati District DB Police OC Daus Mohammad confirmed the arrest of this marijuana dealer named Jitayon Chakma Babu (31) from Madhyampara area of Sapchhari on Sunday night.
The arrested Jitayan is the son of Parimal Chakma and Bharati Chakma, residents of Betchhari Old Para, Ward No. 8, Sabeksyang Union No. 1 of Naniarchar Police Station.
Police said the process of filing a case against the arrested person under the Narcotics Act is underway.
After learning about the fact that a member of this gang, Jitayan, was selling marijuana with a person from Rangamati city, a smart team of DB police went undercover in the Sapchhari area.
At 7:30 pm, when he came to sell one kilogram of marijuana to a buyer by specially packaging it, the undercover DB members caught him red-handed with a bag full of marijuana.
