One arrested with huge Yaba in Coast Guard operation at Shahpari Island

One person has been arrested with huge quantity of Yaba in Coast Guard operation at Shahpari Island in Teknaf on Tuesday afternoon.
Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lt. Commander Khandaker Munif Taqi informed this.
On the basis of secret information, a team of Bangladesh Coast Guard conducted a special operation today on April 23, 2024 at approximately 1245 hours in Teknaf police station of Cox's Bazar district in the area of Uttar Para of Teknaf new road.
During the operation, if the movement of an e-bike appears suspicious, the e-bike is stopped and searched by the Coast Guard raiding team. During the search, a fish-carrying drum hung on the back of the Easybike was searched: 80,000 pieces of yaba, hidden in a novel way, were visible. Later, 01 drug dealers were arrested along with the said Yaba and Easybike.
The seized Yaba, Easybike and the detained person were handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for further legal action.
