Nominations of 3 independent candidates out of 19 in Joypurhat cancelled

After scrutiny of nomination papers of 19 candidates in two parliamentary constituencies of Joypurhat district in the 12th National Assembly elections, nominations of 16 candidates were valid and nominations of three candidates were declared invalid due to defects in the documents.
District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Salehin Tanveer Ghazi completed the verification in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner from 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Salehin Tanveer Gazi said that independent candidates Rani Rabeya Asri and Aleya Begum in Joypurhat-1 seat and independent candidate Atwar Rahman in Joypurhat-2 seat, one percent of the voters' list were not found to be true after verifying the candidature.
And from Joypurhat-1 Constituency Ed. Samchul Alam Dudu, Jatiya Party's AKM Moazzem Hossain, Jasad candidate Abul Khair Md Sakhawat Hossain, Trinamul BNP's Md Machum, National People's Party's Md Roknuzzaman, independent candidate Aziz Molla Congress Md Nayan, Zaker Party's Md Golam Rasul, JSD candidate Abul Khair Md Sakhawat Hossain , National People's Party's Md. Abu Said and independent candidate Abdur Razzak.
District Election Officer Fazlul Karim, Upazila Election Officer Moshiur Rahman, Assistant Upazila Election Officer Masudur Rahman and assistant returning officers were present.
