The leaders of the Noakhali Journalists Union paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NUST), Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Shafiqul Islam, during which they exchanged floral greetings.

The courtesy call and greetings exchange ceremony was held at the university on Wednesday afternoon.

During the meeting, the leaders of Noakhali Journalists Union extended their warm greetings to the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor and wished them success in their new responsibilities. During the meeting, views were exchanged on the university's education, research, infrastructural development and maintaining positive relations with the media.

Present on behalf of the Noakhali Journalists Union were Shahadat Babu, the organization's general secretary and Noakhali correspondent of Daily Janakantha, Senior Vice President, Bangladesh Pratidin district correspondent and News24 TV district correspondent Akbar Hossain Sohag, Vice President Sajjad Hossain, editors of The Country Today, Daily Nabani and Daily Noakhali Somoy.

At this time, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Shafiqul Islam thanked the journalist leaders and sought the constructive cooperation of the media for the overall development of the university.
