A new newspaper called 'Dainik Agamir Sandhane' is going to start publication in the divisional city of Rangpur with the slogan "The intersection of truth and possibility".

On this occasion, on the afternoon of Monday 15th July, Rangpur Chamber auditorium organized the opening ceremony, the owner of the newspaper, Update Rangpur's subsidiary company Update Media Homes. Rangpur City Corporation Mayor Md. Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa was the chief guest under the chairmanship of the newspaper's publisher Dr. Mahmuda Yasmin Shampa.

Advisor of Update Rangpur and Update Media Homes Dr. Md. Nurul Hasan Babu and Additional Superintendent of Police of Rangpur Md. Ifte Khair Alam were present as special guests. Editor of the newspaper Monabbar Hossain Mana, Executive Editor Md. Abdur Rauf Sarkar, Prof. Omar Farooq, Prof. Shah Alam, General Secretary of Rangpur Press Club, Journalist Marina Lovely, Haji Tanbiruzzaman Asharafi and some prominent people spoke among others.

The chief guest Rangpur City Mayor expressed regret in his speech and said, "Rangpur region is neglected from the beginning. There has been no progress here for a long time. Although there are 22 MPs in this constituency, no one raised a demand in the Parliament for the implementation of the ‘Teesta Master Plan’ except for one MP. But if the ‘Teesta Master Plan’ is implemented, the region will be developed massively and create a lot of employment opportunities. I hope, in this regard, this new newspaper of Rangpur will play a major role in creating public opinion. "
