
Online GD launched in Jashore to bring police services to people's doorsteps

No more fear of brokers or harassment at the police station, from now on, Jessore residents can file General Diary (GD) sitting at home.
To bring police services to the doorsteps of the people, Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawnak Jahan officially inaugurated this online GD service at Kotwali Police Station at 12:01 am on Sunday . After cutting the ribbon and inaugurating the inauguration, the Superintendent of Police himself inaugurated the program through an online GD by a woman.
At the time, he said that many times, when ordinary people come to the police station to file a GD, they fall into the clutches of brokers or are subjected to various types of harassment. That era has come to an end. From now on, GD can be filed online on 32 issues sitting at home. This will reduce time, money and suffering. At the same time, people's trust in the police will increase further.
SP Rawnak Jahan said that a separate help booth has been opened at the police station for those who cannot file a GD online.
Anyone who wants to can go there and file a GD online with the help of the concerned officer. He said that under this service, online GD has been launched simultaneously in all police stations of Khulna and Barisal ranges. Also present at the program were Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Abul Bashar, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Ahsan Habib, OC of Kotwali Police Station Abul Hasnat, Investigation Officer Inspector Kazi Babul and other police officials at various levels.
