An open lottery has been held for the selection of food grain sales (OMS) dealers in the open market in Jaldhaka Municipality, Nilphamari. The lottery was held on Monday (July 21) morning at the Upazila Parishad conference room jointly organized by the Upazila Administration and Food Department.
UNO Zayed Imrul Mozakkin presided over the program. Jaldhaka Thana OC Arzu Mohammad Sajjad Hossain, Upazila Social Service Officer Kamruzzaman, Upazila Food Controller Golam Mostafa, Jaldhaka Press Club President Alhaj Kamruzzaman, and other concerned officials and local journalists were present.
OMS dealers were selected with 100% transparency from among the applicants who participated in the lottery. It has been ensured that no one can raise allegations of irregularities or bias by organizing the lottery openly in the presence of local journalists and the general public.
The upazila administration informed that an open lottery has been organized in front of everyone to make the selection of dealers for the food-friendly program transparent and fair.
