Teesta River water rising,flood alert in 4 dists

Heavy rain in India has made the Teesta River rise. There may be floods in low-lying areas of Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Rangpur, and Kurigram.
On Sunday evening, the water was just 7 cm below the danger level at Teesta Barrage in Lalmonirhat. It may cross the danger level soon.
Other rivers like Dharla and Dudhkumar are also rising. More rain is likely in the next 3 days, which could make the flood worse.
Local officials are watching the situation. The government is ready to help. People are asked to stay careful.
