New Climate Action Forum committee formed in Barguna with Monir as President, Jafar as Secretary

A new executive committee for the Climate Action Forum has been formed in coastal Barguna to address climate change risks, mitigate natural disasters, protect the environment, and build a climate-resilient community.
Veteran journalist Monir Hossain Kamal was named President, while journalist Abu Jafar Md. Saleh was named General Secretary. Jahangir Kabir Mridha assumed responsibility as Organizational Secretary. The executive committee was approved during a meeting held at the Barguna Press Club hallroom on Monday afternoon with Monir Hossain Kamal presiding and Abu Jafar Md. Saleh conducting proceedings.
Sharmin Ara Lina, Project Coordinator for the "Building Resilience Through Inclusive Development and Gender Empowerment" (BRIDGE) project, delivered the welcome address and was appointed Program Coordinator for the newly formed platform.
The executive committee also selected Ferdousi Mohua, Saidul Islam Montu, and Shafiqul Islam Khokon as Vice Presidents; Mst. Lamiya as Joint Secretary; Md. Nasir Mulla as Treasurer; Heiraj Majhi as Media and Communication Coordinator; Md. Sojib Hossain as Youth Engagement Coordinator; Mst. Sharmin as Women Affairs Secretary; and Sohag Akon as Office and Technology Secretary.
Mohsin Khan, Md. Mostafiz, Mst. Rozina Akhtar, Sangeeta Barik, and Nayeem Hossain were selected as Executive Members.
