National Girl Child Day celebrated in Kaukhali

"I am a girl child, I build dreams, I fight with courage, I work for the welfare of the country" - National Girl Child Day was celebrated in Kaukhali, Pirojpur with this theme.
A discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom on Thursday. at 11:30 am under the initiative of the Upazila Administration and the Women's Affairs Department.
The meeting, chaired by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sudipto Debnath, was addressed by Upazila Women's Affairs Officer Nur Jannat Ferdousi, Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Pradeep Kumar Halder, Upazila Cooperative Officer Ahiduzzaman Khan, Upazila Social Service Officer Matiur Rahman, journalist Riyad Mahmud Sikder, Kaukhali Police Station SI Md. Masud, and teenage organizer Sujata Kundu, among others.
The speakers at the event said that people from all walks of life should work together to increase the educational opportunities of girls, build self-reliance and ensure equal rights.
