Based on the slogan "Eat more local fruits, let's plant fruit trees" on Monday like the rest of the country, the Upazila Agricultural Extension Department held a meeting at the Muksudpur UP auditorium.
UNO Tasnim Akhter inaugurated the 3-day National Fruit Fair organized by the department.
Present at the time were Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Md. Bahauddin Sheikh, Muksudpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mustafa Kamal, Upazila BNP President Abdus Salam Khan and General Secretary Tariqul Islam Raju, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Jahangir Alam, Upazila Social Service Officer Mosharraf Hossain Upazila Women's Affairs Officer Laila Rahman, Upazila Election Officer Jewel Ahmed Upazila BADC Officer Mehedi Hussaimon, Deputy General Manager of Muksudpur Zonal Office of Gopalganj Palli Bidyut Samity Md. Tushar Ahmed, Upazila Additional Agriculture Officer Munmun Saha, Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Ayesha Siddika, Upazila Assistant Agricultural Extension Officer Mizanur Rahman and Upazila Deputy Assistant Plant Protection Officer Ruhul Quddus Ahmed were among those present.
Various varieties of local fruits are being exhibited through several stalls at the fair.
The fair will be held for 3 days from June 23 to June 25.
