National Birth and Death Registration Day celebrated at Rangamati

On the occasion of National Birth and Death Registration Day rally and discussion meeting was held at Rangamati.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan was the chief guest at the discussion meeting organized by the district administration under the theme "Birth-death registration will bring good governance in the country" held at the District Commissioner's conference room at 9:30 am on Sunday.
Additional District Commissioner (Education and ICT) and Rangamati Municipal Administrator Nasreen Sultana presided over the meeting, Assistant Director of District Family Planning Office Matiur Rahman, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Rifat Achma, District Primary Education Officer Hrishikesh Sheel, Deputy Director of District Women's Department Anuka Khisa including various government officials. -Representatives of various unions including representatives of non-governmental organizations were present.
Speakers in the meeting said that birth registration is a right of the child. Birth must be registered within 45 days of birth. Birth and death registration certificate is very important to get citizenship benefits. So everyone should be aware of this.
After the discussion meeting, Rupkardi Union of Baghaichhari Upazila of Rangamati District, Subhlong Union of Barkal Upazila and Maidang Union of Jurachhari Upazila were awarded for achieving the target of birth and death registration in the last six months.
Earlier, on the occasion of the National Birth and Death Registration Day at 9 am, a rally from the city's Happy intersection circled the various roads of the city and ended at the District Commissioner's office premises.
