Govt to lose neutrality if delays polls to form new political party: Goyeshwar

BNP Standing Committee Member Goyeshwar Chandra Roy has said that the incumbent government will lose its neutrality if it delays the next general election to facilitate the formation of a new political party.
Maybe a new political party will be formed under their (leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement) leadership and it may seek registration from the Election Commission to take part in the election, he said.
If the government delays the election until the party gets registration from the commission, then it will not be able to prove its impartiality, said the BNP leader while addressing a programme in Haluaghat area of Mymensingh on Saturday.
“A new sense of aspiration is influencing the leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement,” Goyeshwar said, calling upon the government to pave the path for holding the next general election after the necessary reforms.
About India’s stance on Bangladesh politics, he said, “Awami League is the worst product of India. We will allow all goods from the country except the Awami League.”
