The proposed budget for the year 2024-2025 of Nakla municipality of Sherpur has been announced on Wednesday without any new taxes.

Mayor of the Municipality Hafizur Rahman Liton announced the potential budget of Tk 87 crore 73 lakh 44 thousand 163 at the municipality conference room.

He announced the potential expenditure of Tk 85 crore 55 lakh 94 thousand 344. A surplus (capital) of 2 crore 17 lakh 49 thousand 819 taka has been kept in this budget.

Nakla Municipality Mayor Hafizur Rahman Liton presided over the budget program and Municipal Executive Officer (Secretary) Md Monirul Hasan Azad gave a welcome speech at the potential budget.

In the budget revenue (general section) income was shown Tk 10 crore 40 lakh 87 thousand 213 and revenue expenditure Tk 9 crore 55 lakh 94 thousand 344. In the budget revenue surplus from the general section was shown Tk 84 lakh 92 thousand 869.

In the budget development sector income was shown Tk 75 crore 85 lakh 83 thousand 435 and expenditure Tk 75 crore 40 lakh. In the budget development sector surplus was shown Tk 45 lakh 83 thousand 435. In the capital budget, the income was shown Tk 1 crore 46 lakh 73 thousand 515 taka and expenditure Tk at 60 lakh.

The Mayor said that depicted different side of income for the budget. In the budget importance has been given on repairing of roods, extension of water supply and electricity, Mayor Hafizur Rahman Liton added. Municipal Executive Officer (Secretary) Md Monirul Hasan Azad conducted the budget announcement ceremony.
