Clash over water supply to Rupsha fish pond, complaint to police station

 Nahid Zaman, Rupsha (Khulna)

In Narkeli Chandpur village of Rupsha, a clash  broke out between Krishna Pal and Vishnu Pal of Pithabhog village and a nearby  farmer in the field on the morning of April 15 over water supply to Ashok Pal's fish pond. Ashok Pal filed a written complaint in this regard at Rupsha police station.Based on the complaint and eyewitnesses, it was learned that the water in Ashok Pal's fish pond decreased due to the heat of the summer, and the fish were about to die. He watered the pond with a saloon machine on April 14. It rained on that day, on the afternoon of the first day of Baisakh. As a result of the rain, water accumulated in relatively low places in the rice field. When water accumulated in the ripe paddy field next to the fence, the ripe paddy farmers Krishna Pal and Vishnu Pal thought that Ashok Pal had intentionally poured water on their land. The two brothers got angry and went to Kalam Sheikh's land and abused Ashok Pal, his son Mithu Pal and his wife Usha Rani Pal and beat them with a wooden stick, causing them to suffer severe injuries. When Mithu Pal was grabbed by the throat, he bit Krishna Pal's ear in self-defense. Later, after receiving treatment at the Rupsha Upazila Health Complex, he filed a written complaint with the police station. In this regard, Krishna Pal said that Ashok Pal intentionally poured water on my ripe paddy field and I want to know why he poured water on my ripe paddy. Because of wanting to know this, his family killed me, made me bleed, bit me with their teeth and cut off my ear. Even though they beat me, I did not say anything. After the incident, I immediately received treatment at the Upazila Health Complex and am now staying at home. We will file a written complaint with the police station regarding this.
