Bagerhat Zilla Parishad awarded scholarships, accorded reception to meritorious students

Bagerhat Zilla Parishad has initiated a one-time scholarship and reception for meritorious students on Wednesday noon.
Organized by the Zilla Parishad, Deputy Commissioner and Zilla Parishad Administrator Ahmed Kamrul Hasan was present as the chief guest and handed over the scholarships to the meritorious students at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium in the city. The event was presided over by District Council Chief Executive Officer Bhaskar Debnath Bappi and was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Ariful Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Sadia Islam, Deputy Director of Local Government Department Dr. Md. Fakrul Hasan, District Education Officer S. M. Sayedur Rahman, Primary Education Officer Nasrin Akhter, Executive Engineer of LGED Md. Sharifuzzaman, President of Bagerhat Press Club Md. Kamruzzaman, General Secretary Tarafder Rabiul Islam and others.At the event, 31 students from Bagerhat district who got a chance in medical and public universities in 2025 were given 10,000 taka each and a total of 323 meritorious students who got GPA-5 in S.S.C., H.S.C. and equivalent examinations in 2024 were given 5,000 taka each, totaling 17 lakh 70 thousand taka in one-time scholarship.
