Nakla JL celebrates Sheikh Russel's birth anniv

The leaders of Nakla Upazila Awami Jubo League in Sherpur district on Monday celebrated the 58th birth anniversary of Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation.
On the occasion, different programs including discussion meetings and birthday cake cutting programs were held at the initiative of Nakla upazila JL in Sherpur on Monday night.
Md Rafiqul Islam Sohel convener of Upazila Juba League presided over the program, where FF Shafiqul Islam Zinnah, general secretary of upazila AL presents as the chief guest.
Joint secretary of upazila AL Md Shahidul Islam, organizing secretary and Urfa UP chairman Anisur Rahman Suja, office secretary Khalilur Rahman, publicity secretary Abdur Rashid Sarkar, FM Kamrul Alam Ranju and Rezaul Karim Ripon joint convener of Nakla upazila JL. Leaders of Upazila, Municipal and Union AL, JL and others were present in the program.
Among others, Nakla Press Club president Md Musharaf Hossain, senior vice president Khandaker Jasim Uddin Minto, general secretary Mosharraf Hossain Sarkar Babu, organizing Secretary Nur Hossain and other journalists of the Press Club were present.
On August 15, 1975, Sheikh Russel was killed along with most of his family members, including Bangabandhu, when he was just a student of class four.
