MPs have already been selected by government: Moeen Khan

BNP Standing Committee Member Abdul Moeen Khan has said that the government has already selected who will be members of the 12th Parliament.
“The government has already selected the members of the parliament and it will announce their names on 7 January,” Moeen Khan said after placing wreaths at the grave of BNP founder late president Ziaur Rahman in Agargaon area of Dhaka on Monday.
On the 45th founding anniversary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, the student wing of BNP, Moeen Khan, accompanied by the party’s leaders and activists, went to the grave and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul after placing the wreaths.
“A fake election is going to be held on 7 January,” he said, adding that the people’s aspiration will not be reflected in the election.
He blamed the government for carrying out a crackdown on BNP’s Dhaka rally on October 28 and said the ruling quarter indulged in such an operation on the peaceful programme to prolong the state power.
The countrymen fought for democracy but the ruling quarter assassinated it after 52 years of the country’s independence, he said adding a one-party rule is going on in the country.
