Mourning over Sayem's death at Betagi

Md. Sayem Howlader (28), the son-in-law of retired primary teacher Md. Altaf Hossain, a resident of Betagi Kharakanda, has passed away. Sayem's death has cast a shadow of grief over Betagi.
On Wednesday (July 22, 2026) morning, he suddenly fell ill and was taken to the nearby Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
The death of Sayem Hawlader has cast a shadow of grief on social media and the area. He was known as a very kind and philanthropist in his area. He used to donate blood regularly as a volunteer at the Betagi Blood Bank.
The family has informed that the funeral will be held on Wednesday after the Asr prayers in a nearby cemetery.
Betagi Press Club, Betagi Blood Bank, and various social organizations are expressing condolences over his death.
