Even after fleeing for their lives in Kabirhat, Noakhali, after August 5, homes and family members were not spared from vandalism, arson, and attacks.

Like the rest of the country, there were several incidents of vandalism, arson and attacks in Noakhali, including the demolition of house number 32 in Dhanmondi on February 4, centered on the speech given by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to students. However, on August 5, after Sheikh Hasina and former Awami League MPs and ministers fled, Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, the president of the Awami Jubo League of Sundalpur Union No. 2 in Kabirhat Upazila, saw the violence across the country and called for his life.

Mizanur Rahman's house in Ward No. 6, Sundalpur Union No. 2, Kabirhat Upazila was vandalized on the afternoon of August 5, and the elderly mother, wife and children living in the house were beaten up, seriously injured, and Mizanur Rahman was stabbed and left with bloody wounds. Later, locals rescued them and admitted them to the hospital. Later, although Mizanur Rahman fled, his elderly mother, wife and children returned home.

Although the situation has improved for a few days, six months after the incident, on February 4, the house of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at 32 Dhanmondi was demolished, and on February 9, like the rest of the country, the miscreants vandalized and set fire to Mizanur Rahman's house. During this time, the elderly mother who was staying at the house was seriously injured. In this situation, Mizanur Rahman's family members are roaming around with different people for their safety.

Local people said, Mizanur Rahman, while he was the president of the Awami Jubo League, always helped people of different political ideologies in the area. Even the previous government's actions provided government facilities to people from all walks of life in the area. Even his behavior would never have revealed that he was the president of the Awami Jubo League. But what happened to Mizanur Rahman and his family after the fall of the government was a great injustice. Locals also said that even though he did nothing wrong, the family members of Mizanur Rahman, who are fleeing for their lives, are also being repeatedly harassed.

When asked about this, several political leaders who did not want to be named said that although Mizanur Rahman was the president of the Jubo League, he never harmed people of different political ideologies in the area, but always cooperated. But we ourselves were shocked by the vandalism of his house on August 5 and later and tried to help his family. In response to another question, he said that he did not know who carried out the attack again in February.

However, efforts are being made to find out and discussions are underway with higher-ups to ensure that no further attacks or vandalism occur on his family.
