Meritorious students felicitated, given scholarships in Bagerhat

Meritorious students have been felicitated and given scholarships in Bagerhat.
On Tuesday morning at the felicitating and scholarship awarding ceremony organized by Bagerhat Zilla Parishad at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium in the city, Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner and Zilla Parishad Administrator Ahmed Kamrul Hasan was present as the chief guest.
Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Bhaskar Debnath Bappi presided over the event, and special guests included Deputy Director of the Local Government Department Dr. Md. Fakrul Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Education and ICT Sadia Islam, District Education Officer SM Sayedur Rahman, Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman, LGED Bagerhat Chief Engineer Md. Sharifuzzaman, President of Bagerhat Press Club Md. Kamruzzaman, Co-Coordinator of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Bagerhat Abdullah Al Ruman and others.
At the event, 259 students who had achieved success in SSC, HSC, medical and university levels in 2023 were awarded educational scholarships worth a total of Tk 13 lakh 50 thousand.
