Weapon recovered in 'Devil Hunt' Operation in Tongibari

A Chinese rifle has been recovered in a raid conducted by Tongibari police in Munshiganj. It was reported that this weapon was looted from Tongibari Police Station on August 5.
On Tuesday at around 9:30 AM, as part of "Operation Devil Hunt," police conducted a raid in Bashbari village under Sonarang Tongibari Union. They recovered an active Chinese rifle from an open toilet on the ground floor of an under-construction two-story building owned by Ataur Rahman. The recovered weapon had body number A-03703 and butt number 15, RC, 03703.
According to police sources, acting on a tip-off, the police raided the under-construction building of Ataur Rahman, son of the late Haji Mir Ali Bepari, in the Bashbari area at around 9:30 AM and recovered the Chinese rifle that had been looted from the police station.
Regarding this, Sub-Inspector Shah Ali of Tongibari Police Station stated that as part of "Operation Devil Hunt," an active Chinese rifle looted from the police station has been recovered. Since no initial evidence of Ataur Rahman’s involvement was found, he was not arrested.
The investigation is ongoing to identify those involved. He also mentioned that this weapon was lost during the attack and looting at Tongibari Police Station on August 5.
