
Memo to Chief Adviser : Outsourcing employees demand job regularization

Freedom Outsourcing Employee Welfare Council submitted a memorandum to Interim Government Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus to abolish of outsourcing in different government departments and urged for regularisation of recruited outsourcing employees to the revenue sector.
At this time Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, this matter of outsourcing did not happen in a day. Its solution is time consuming. Initiatives will be taken to shift the jobs of outsourcing employees working in various ministries to the revenue sector.
Outsourcing employees staged a rally in Shahbag on Saturday morning demanding nationalization of jobs. Later in the afternoon, the chief adviser of the interim government. Protesters took position in front of Muhammad Yunus' residence Jamuna.
Mahburr Rahman, President of Swabandhu Outsourcing Employee Welfare Council, led the rally. Also present were SM Jiban, Mukul Chandra Debnath, Belal Hossain, AM Jiban etc.
At around 4 pm, the protesters left Shahbagh square for the Chief Adviser's residence. At this time, about two thousand outsourcing protestors sat on both sides of the road. It stopped traffic on Fair Road.
Later, they submitted the memorandum to the Chief Advisor. Their one-point demand in the memorandum is to cancel the discriminatory outsourcing policy 2018 formulated by the former dictator (Awami League) and transfer the jobs to the revenue sector by relaxing the age of the sole outsourcing employees working in their respective organizations / working on daily basis projects.
Mahbubur Rahman leading the rally from 4:40 PM to 4:55 PM along with four chief advisers. Muhammad met with Yunus. At this time the Chief Advisor assured them. He said, this issue of outsourcing did not happen in a day. Its solution is time consuming. Initiatives will be taken to shift the jobs of outsourcing employees working in various ministries to the revenue sector.
Later, around 5 pm, the protestors finished the programme and left the place.
