Market monitoring in Shibganj, 4 shopkeepers fined

Market monitoring has been conducted in Shibganj, Bogura on the occasion of the month of Ramadan to control the prices of daily necessities.
On Friday, UNO and Executive Magistrate Ziaur Rahman monitored the Mahasthan Bazar of the upazila to control the market prices. During this, four shopkeepers were fined Tk 7,500 by conducting a mobile court for selling goods at high prices, selling edible oil in an unhygienic environment, and not having a price list.
In this regard, Shibganj UNO & Executive Magistrate Ziaur Rahman said that shopkeepers have been encouraged to sell goods at fair prices. The drive will continue in the public interest. Officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station Shahinuzzaman was present at the time.
