Low pressure in Northwest Bay, warning signal No. 3 at Payra Port
Sowmetrow Sumon, Payra Port (Patuakhali)
A low pressure has formed over North West Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and coastal areas of the country.
Due to this, the Bay of Bengal adjacent to Kuakata in Patuakhali is very rough. The sky is overcast. Rainfall continues in coastal areas. The Meteorological Office is worried about the impact of low pressure on the coastal areas.
Therefore, all the sea ports of the country including Payra in Kalapara of Patuakhali have been asked to show local warning signal number 03. All fishing trawlers have been asked to proceed with caution near the coast.
Md. Didar Uddin Ahmed Masum, President of Mahipur Mats Arat Malik Cooperative Association, said that most of the fishing trawlers are in the sea. Some trawlers have taken refuge in the Shibbaria river at Mohipur. The rest are called and asked to come to Kina. Not available on many phones.
