The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has received a list of 49 officials of the administration cadre who have been accused of acquiring huge wealth through corruption. It is alleged that they abused the power and blocked the file and took bribe from the customer.

Some have siphoned off government money on purchases by mentioning the prices of goods abnormally higher than the market value. Some have pocketed huge sums of money by corrupting the implementation of the project. According to the ACC sources, this information is known.

According to sources, the ACC is looking into the information of movable and immovable assets of 49 officials. There are allegations against them of acquiring wealth in the country and abroad. Many of them have laundered money to different countries including USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Dubai. The officers of the administration cadre perform important duties in various ministries, offices, directorates of the government.

A special intelligence agency of the government traced the movable and immovable assets of 49 officials of the administration cadre and found unusual assets in their names and names, inconsistent with their legitimate income.

The officials on the list are - former UNO Mizanur Rahman of Lohagara, Chittagong (currently working in the office of the chief advisor), Executive Officer of Dhaka North City Corporation Md. Mottakabber, PS Sanwar Hossain of the former Minister of Liberation War, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Mashiur Rahman, former DC of Bogura Saiful Islam, Joint Secretary of the Cabinet Division Ziaul Haque, former DC of Pabna and Narayanganj. Jasimuddin, Comilla's former DC Mushfiqur Rahman, Dinajpur's former DC Abul Fateh Md. Shafiqul Islam.
Ex-DC of Munshiganj and Khulna Moniruzzman Talukdar, Ex-DC of Cox's Bazar Shaheen Imran, Ex-DC of Khulna Yashir Arefin, Additional Secretary of Cabinet Division Selina Parvez, Ex-DC of Brahmanbaria Hayatuddaulla Khan (now director of a branch of Biman Bangladesh Airlines), Ex-DC of Bahmanbaria Shahgir Alam, ADC of Chittagong (LA) Rakibul Hasan, former DC of Dinajpur Mahmudul Alam, former DC of Thakurgaon Dr. Kamruzzaman Salim, Former Aceland Ujjal Kumar Halder of Sreepur, Gazipur, Abul Fazalmir, Joint Secretary, Public Security Department, Ministry of Home Affairs.

It is learned that the list of officials from that intelligence agency has been handed over to the ACC with a recommendation to search their assets and take legal action against them. The ACC will investigate allegations of acquiring assets beyond known income, money laundering and acquiring assets abroad.
