Lakhs of Muslims attend at Maulana Azhari's Mahfil in C'nawabganj

A huge Tafsirul Quran mahfil was held in Chapainawabganj at the initiative of Jabanul Noor Foundation.
Eminent Islamic scholar Dr. Maulana Md. Mizanur Rahman Azhari spoke as the chief in Mufassir Mahfil held at Isahak Uddin Mian Amrakanan in Lalapara More area of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila on Saturday.
The special mufassirs were Maulana Md. Nurul Amin, Secretary General of Bangladesh Majlisul Mufassir, and Dr. Gias Uddin Talukder, Professor of the Arabic Department of Chittagong University.
Jamaat-e-Islami's executive committee member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Amir Nurul Islam Bulbul spoke as the chief guest at the Tafsirul Quran Mahfil held with Maulana Abuzar Gifari, the district Jamaat's Ameer and Chairman of Jabalun Noor Foundation in the chair.
At the beginning of his almost one and a half hour speech, Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari called for maintaining the unity that was the anti-fascist uprising of August 5 to overthrow fascism. He said - When we are alone, we are individuals, and when we all come together, we are power. Addressing the youth, he said, "You are the generation of Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj.
You have shown how to punish the oppressors. What is their connectivity, what is their understanding with the sign of the eye. This must be maintained. The Bangladesh of the future will be a Bangladesh of unity. We must remain united so that no new fascism can come.
During this time, he called on the interim government to take strict action against those who are slandering Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) and Allah. Later, he spoke in the light of the Quran, including the importance of the holy month of Ramadan and the importance of piety.
A huge pandal was built at the mahfil venue several days ago. Hundreds of volunteers were recruited. Security arrangements were strengthened by the law enforcement agencies. Medical arrangements were made by the organizers.
Since last Friday night, religious people have been coming to the mahfil venue to listen to the sermon of Maulana Md. Mizanur Rahman Azhari.
