Kishoreganj Disability Affairs Officer holds discussion with persons with disabilities, guardians in Kuliarchar

Kishoreganj District Disability Affairs Officer Mithun Chakraborty held a discussion meeting with students and guardians of Kuliarchar Disability School in Kuliarchar upazila under Kishoreganj district on Friday.
Organized by the Kuliarchar Protibondhi Seba Sangstha, the event was presided over by the founder of Kuliarchar Disability School, Farjana Akter.
Addressing the gathering as the main speaker, Mithun Chakraborty stated on Friday that persons with disabilities are not a burden to society but an integral part of it. He noted that with proper care and support, they can build a bright future. He assured attendees that the district administration will work to provide necessary assistive devices, therapy services, and medical treatment based on individual needs.
BRAC Pakundia Upazila Organizer Titu Ranjan Kar, Kuliarchar Protibondhi Seba Sangstha President Abdul Matin, General Secretary Kamrul Islam, and members Bachchu Miah and Kishor Rahman were present at the event. Journalists Naimuzzaman Naim, Ali Haider, and Sabuj Miah were also in attendance. The program was moderated by Sangstha member Papiya Sultana Polashi.
Following the discussion, dry food packages containing rice, lentils, oil, salt, sugar, and spices were distributed among 51 students with disabilities from the school. Besides , student coordinator representative Karimul Hasan donated two ceiling fans to the school on behalf of Kuwait expatriate Ain Uddin.
