Kings reach Odisha

A 51-member Bashundhara Kings contingent, including 29 footballers, reached Odisha Saturday to play their last Group D match of the ongoing AFC Cup 2023-24 against the hosts, confirmed by a club official.
Kings – who are currently dominating the four-team point table with 10 points – will face second-placed Odisha FC – who have 9 points – on Monday at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
If the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) champions secure at least a draw against Odisha, they will be the second club of Bangladesh after Dhaka Abahani Ltd to qualify for the inter zone playoff semifinals.
If Kings win or draw the match, they will through to the knockout stage as the group champions with 13 or 11 points.
Meanwhile, Kings will be confident enough before this second-leg match as they have won the first-leg home match against Odisha by 3-2 goals in October at the Bashundhara Kings Arena.
