
Khagrachari-Rangamati violence inquiry committee visited Rangamati

A seven-member inquiry committee formed to probe into violence in Khagrachari and Rangamati has started its functioning.
On Monday morning, Additional Divisional Commissioner of Chittagong Mohammad Nurullah Noori visited the Rangamati affected areas on the spot. At this time, besides visiting the scene, he also spoke to the victims.
Mohammad Nurullah Noori told the journalists that he will submit a report to the government within 14 days after finding the root cause of the recent violent incidents, making a list of the victims and informing the government of their losses and making recommendations to prevent such violent incidents.
Rangamati Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Zobaida Akhter, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Nabil Nowroz Baisakh, Rangamati Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Shahnewaz Raju, BPM, PPM, Kotyali Police Station Officer-in-charge Mr. Muhammad Ali, local public representatives, affected traders were present.
The Chittagong Divisional Commissioner formed a seven-member committee to investigate the incident on September 26. The investigation committee will submit the report within the next 14 working days.
