Natore Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Ms. Sumoni Akter congratulated the meritorious students who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent examinations and urged them to become hardworking, honest, competent, responsible and patriotic citizens.

“You have achieved GPA-5 in the SSC examination through hard work. You will have to study even harder in the HSC level and maintain this continuity. Alongside acquiring knowledge, you must focus on developing moral and humanitarian qualities. You should strive to become enlightened and responsible members of society,” she said.

She made the remarks as the chief guest at a reception organized for students who secured GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent examinations at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium in Baraigram, Natore, on Thursday.

The program was organized by the Upazila Administration and chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Layla Jannatul Ferdous. Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Ms. Husneara Khatun moderated the event, while Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Selim Akter delivered the welcome address.

Among others, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Zubayer Jahangir, Head Teacher of Baraigram Girls’ High School Asaduzzaman Asad and meritorious student Jannati Khatun also spoke at the program.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Sajib Al Maruf, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Nure Alam Siddiqui, OC of Baraigram Police Station Md. Shafiqul Islam, heads of various government offices, teachers from different secondary schools and madrasas, meritorious students and distinguished local residents were present.

A total of 176 students from Baraigram Upazila achieved GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent examinations. Of them, 165 students from 28 schools, six students from three madrasas and five students from three technical educational institutions secured GPA-5.

Each of the 176 meritorious students was presented with an honorary crest in recognition of their outstanding achievement.
