Karmasangsthan Bank holds business review meeting in Sylhet

As part of its ongoing 90-day special administrative program, Karmasangsthan Bank successfully conducted its corporate Business Review Meeting 2026 on Saturday.
The high-level review session was hosted at the Rainbow Guest House in Sylhet, drawing active participation from all Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and Second Officers serving under the bank's Sylhet Divisional Office jurisdiction.
Dr. A.F.M Matiur Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Karmasangsthan Bank and a former Secretary to the Government, graced the executive conference as the chief guest. Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury and General Manager Md. Amirul Islam attended the standard session as special guests. The institutional meeting was presided over by Khaled Mohammad Jahangir, Deputy General Manager of the Sylhet Divisional Office, while Manoj Roy, Deputy General Manager of the Law, Research, and Development Department from the Head Office, was also in attendance.
In his keynote address, Chief Guest Dr. A.F.M Matiur Rahman heavily emphasized the critical need for maintaining high standards in quality loan distribution and fostering sustainable grassroots entrepreneurs. He issued a collective call to action for all regional officials, urging them to elevate the performance of every core business indicator across branches in the Sylhet division through integrated strategic initiatives, individual accountability, and professional sincerity.
Aligning with the operational goals, Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury focused his directive on increasing the overall loan recovery rate and expansion of the loan balance. He explicitly commanded the workforce to strengthen recovery campaigns targeting classified, defaulted, and written-off loans to ensure the successful execution of the bank's short-term quarterly goals.
He concluded by challenging the field officials to work with absolute professionalism and institutional responsibility to seamlessly achieve the 100 percent performance targets mapped out by the bank's head office.
