
Jute farming training workshop held in Dimla

A jute farming training workshop was held in Dimla, Nilphamari with the theme of Golden Land in Golden Scales, Eco-Friendly Bangladesh under the Advanced Technology Based Jute and Seed Production and Expansion Project on Wednesday.
Expansion (1st Revised) Project, Jute Department, Textiles and Jute Ministry organized this training workshop with 75 jute farmers. UNO Russel Mia was present as the chief guest in the training.
Former Upazila BNP President Prof Raisul Alam Chowdhury and Jute Growers Association President Utpal Kanti were present as special guests.
With Nilphamari Jute Development Officer ATM Taibur Rahman presided over and it was moderated by Dimla Deputy Assistant Jute Development Officer Daribullah Sarkar, the training was delivered as a trainer by the Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Nilphamari, Dr. S.M Abu Bakkar Saiful Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Mir Hasan Al Banna, and Additional Agriculture Officer Shamima Yasmin. Jahangir Alam, Senior Assistant Secretary (Budget) of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, delivered a virtual speech at the training.
