On the occasion of 'July Mass Uprising Day-2026', various day-long programs were celebrated in Bogura with due dignity. On the occasion of the day, a reception and discussion meeting was held at the Shaheed Titu Auditorium in the city at 10 am on Wednesday at the initiative of the district administration for the families of the July martyrs and the July fighters. At this time, the guests presented greetings to the members of the family of the martyrs and the injured July fighters.

Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Md. Rezaul Karim Badsha, MP for Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency, said that the July 2024 mass uprising was a movement to build a democratic, non-communal and non-discriminatory Bangladesh in the continuation of the 1952 Language Movement, the 1971 Liberation War and the 1990 anti-dictatorship movement. He said that there is no place for division or arrogance among ourselves. We must build a self-reliant, productive and work-oriented Bangladesh unitedly by embracing the spirit of the July Movement. At the same time, he emphasized on ensuring proper evaluation and necessary assistance to the family members of the martyrs and injured July fighters.

In his speech as the president, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Md. Taufiqur Rahman said that the main lesson of every movement from the 1952 Language Movement to the July 2024 mass uprising was to unite in the national interest. He called for personal responsibility, self-criticism, and practicing patriotism by speaking out against injustice.

At the reception, Samiul Islam Siam, a fighter injured in the July Uprising, shared his experience and said that ordinary people participated in the movement out of the hope of building a society without discrimination. He called for more effective treatment and rehabilitation programs for injured fighters.

Earlier, at 9:30 am, a wreath was laid at the July Martyrs' Monument located at Satmatha in the city to pay tribute to the martyrs. At this time, Bogra-6 (Sadar) constituency MP Md. Rezaul Karim Badsha, representatives of the district administration, police administration, Bogra City Corporation, Bogra Press Club, July Warriors, various government and non-government organizations, social and cultural organizations, and people from all walks of life paid tribute.

On the occasion of the day, the district administration organized a photography and documentary exhibition. In addition, various programs were held, including special prayers and supplications at mosques, temples and other religious places of worship in the district, discussion meetings at all educational institutions, writing, recitation and painting competitions with the participation of children, and serving high-quality food at government hospitals, prisons, government children's homes and other service institutions.

In the evening, the July Martyrs' Memorial located in Satmatha was decorated with lights. At the same time, various programs were celebrated separately in all the upazilas of the district to mark the day.

The event was attended as special guests by Bogra-4 constituency MP Mosharraf Hossain, Bogra City Corporation Administrator M. R. Islam Swadhin, Police Superintendent Mirza Sayem Mahmud, District Council Administrator A. K. M. Ahsanul Tayyab Zakir, District Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Khurshid Alam, officials from various departments, July fighters, members of martyrs' families, public representatives and well-wishers.
