Sreepur (Gazipur) Correspondent

Journalist Md. Mojahid has been publicly threatened with death for publishing news about irregularities and corruption in Sreepur in Gazipur.

He filed a general diary (GD) at the police station on Saturday morning in this incident.

The accused are Chhatra Dal leader Golzar Hossain Mandal, Mehedi Hasan Sahad, Maruf Pradhan, Hridoy alias Bullet and 40-50 unidentified people. In this incident, journalists working in Sripur and Gazipur held protest rallies and general student masses held protest marches and road meetings.

The GD mentioned that on the evening of March 4, journalist Mojahid collected news and recorded videos of irregularities in the voter registration at Sripur Government Pilot High School. Later, when the news was published, the Chhatra Dal leaders and activists were furious and took out a procession in the city on the evening of March 6 and raised slogans like "Catch each Mujahideen, slaughter them one by one, we will skin the Mujahideen." He is suffering from insecurity due to this.

Sreepur Police Station OC Joynal Abedin Mondal said, legal action will be taken against the accused after investigation.
