Journalism for Sundarbans committee : Kamruzzaman Convener, Yamin Ali Member Secretary

A committee of Journalism for Sundarbans has been formed with media workers to make the people of the Sundarbans area aware of the developments related to Sundarbans pollution, create public awareness in plastic waste management and pollution prevention and ensure public participation.
The convening committee has been formed with Bagerhat Press Club President Md. Kamruzzaman as Convener and Jamuna Television's Bagerhat Correspondent Md. Yamin Ali as Member Secretary. Environment activists Md. Nur Alam Sheikh, Md. Sabur Rana and Mashiur Rahman Masum have been made joint conveners.
In addition, a 32-member committee has been formed with senior journalists Md. Shah Alam Tuku, Md. Delwar Hossain, Sheikh Ahsanul Karim, Babul Sardar, Shawkat Ali Babu and Moazzem Hossain Majnu as advisors.
A seminar was held for media workers of Bagerhat district at the auditorium of a hotel in the city on Saturday afternoon, organized by the non-governmental development organization Rupantor. The seminar will involve the formation of this committee in phases in the five districts adjacent to the Sundarbans: Bagerhat, Satkhirah, Khulna, Pirojpur and Barguna.
The seminar was attended by Rupantor Program Director Shahad Hossain Bachchu, Coordinator Subhashish Bhatracharj, District Coordinator Khondaker Jilani Hossain, Press Club President Md. Kamruzzaman, and General Secretary Tarafdar Rabiul Islam.
