
7 including women arrested in Adamdighi

Police arrested seven people on court warrants in various cases including vandalism of the BNP office, drugs, and theft in Adamdighi, Bogura. Among them- there are father and son including a woman.
They were arrested in a raid at various places of the upazila on Saturday night. They were sent to Bogura court on Sunday afternoon.
Police said that on Sunday night, Shamim Pramanik (42) was arrested son of the deceased Joyen Uddin of Kayakunchi village, and his son Tarek (21), in a case of vandalism and multiple cocktail explosions at the BNP office in Kayakunchi village of Chapapur union of the upazila at 1:30 am on 25th December last year.
On that night, Shahinur Islam (36), son of Ibadat Ali of Dhantala village of Nasratpur, was arrested with 250 grams of marijuana (ganja). Meanwhile, Suman (26), son of Maqbul of Santahar Yard Colony of the upazila, and Mizu (26), son of the deceased Alamgir, were arrested while roaming suspiciously in front of a fish hatchery in Kalibari area of the upazila. Besides, Raihan Rabbi (35) and Kohinur Begum (40) were arrested on the basis of a court arrest warrant.
SM Mostafizur Rahman OC of Adamdighi Police Station confirmed this information. He said that the arrested were sent to court on Sunday afternoon.
