Jamaat Ameer responsible for AL mischief in RMG movement: Rashed Khan

Prime Minister's Political Assistant Rashed Khan on Tuesday held the Jamaat-e-Islami ameer responsible for the destructive activities carried out by Awami League operatives centering the ongoing garment workers' protest.
Speaking to journalists following the janaza of Israil Hossain Jibon, Secretary of Relief and Rehabilitation Affairs for the Jhenaidah district unit BNP, Rashed Khan asserted that while the government fully sympathises with the legitimate demands of garment workers, recent violence had been provoked by inflammatory political rhetoric.
"During the 11-party long march, the Jamaat ameer declared that if their demands were not met, everything would be smashed," Rashed Khan told reporters. "Following that statement, Awami League and Chhatra League cadres capitalized on the garment workers' movement to launch acts of devastation."
He emphasized that the government maintains full solidarity with the fair demands of workers but warned against any attempts to exploit labour unrest for political sabotage.
